*This production will feature an all female presenting cast!*

Director Shannon Tompkins is looking to fill MOST roles. This is an ensemble show with 25 named parts! The director would like to encourage auditioners to be open to auditioning for multiple roles. We encourage and welcome female presenting actors of every background, identity, and experience level to audition for this special production!

The role of John Adams will be played by Maureen Harrington.

Production dates: May 8-10 and 15-17, 2026 at First Presbyterian Church in Baldwinsville
Tentative rehearsal dates: Beginning March 1, 2026

Directed and Choreographed by Shannon Tompkins. Music Directed by Caryn Patterson and Dan Williams.

WHAT TO PREPARE:
Auditioners should prepare a song cut of approximately 30 to 60 seconds from a musical or from the popular music canon that lends itself to the style of 1776. You should also be familiar with the show and prepared to read. Please provide marked music in a binder for a pianist at the auditions.

VIDEO SUBMISSIONS:
For those who can not attend any of our in person audition dates, a video audition can be submitted to baldwinsvilletheatreguild@gmail.com by 9pm on Monday, December 8th. In person auditions are greatly preferred if possible.
