The Next Act
The Next Act is Baldwinsville Theatre Guild’s comprehensive fundraising campaign designed to strengthen BTG today while building a sustainable future as the organization approaches its 85th Anniversary in 2027. Celebrating 85 Years of Community • Stories • Stage, the campaign focuses on ensuring that BTG has the financial resources, improved spaces, equipment, and long-term support necessary to continue providing affordable, high-quality community theatre and educational opportunities for generations to come.
The campaign is structured in several stages. The Overture focuses on supporting BTG’s ongoing operating expenses and providing a stronger financial foundation. Act 1 centers on transforming and maximizing BTG’s existing spaces, including rehearsal, costume and merchandise storage, classroom, office, restroom, and production support areas. Intermission provides opportunities for individuals and businesses to directly support BTG’s 2027 productions through sponsorships, ticketing support, and seat sponsorships. Looking toward the future, Act 2 and Encore will represent BTG’s long-term vision for significant organizational growth, financial stability, and ultimately a permanent home that can serve the theatre and the community for decades to come.
ACT 2 and Encore represent future segments of THE NEXT ACT campaign and will be formally announced at a later date as BTG continues to build toward its long-term vision. While the early phases of the campaign focus on our immediate operational, programming, and space needs, ACT 2 and Encore will look toward larger opportunities for growth, stability, and ultimately securing a permanent home for Baldwinsville Theatre Guild. These future goals reflect our commitment to building on more than 85 years of community theatre and ensuring BTG has the resources, facilities, and financial foundation needed for generations to come.
More than simply a fundraising effort, The Next Act is an investment in BTG’s future—preserving its history while creating the resources and opportunities needed to write the next chapter of community theatre in Baldwinsville.
